Manage > Allow creating Instances of any Class
----------------------------------------------

This feature can be found on the :ref:`ManageTab` for Data Graph asset collections.
If activated then users may create instances of any class, in particular using the *New* button on the :ref:`InstancesPanel`.

If left deactivated, creating instances in Data Graphs is limited to the classes that are marked *public* in the included Ontologies.

The default policy to use the public classes only provides control over the content of Data Graphs. This is similar to the role of other asset collections. For example, Taxonomies are meant to only contain instances of Concept and Concept Scheme.

.. note::
   Even if activated, this will not enable the New button for the :ref:`SearchPanel`. Searching remains limited to the public classes.
