Manage > Read-only
------------------

This option from the :ref:`ManageTab` can be used to mark:

- the asset collection *read-only* which means that no edits are possible for anyone
- assets included from other collections as read-only. In this case, it is not possible to add values to them
- the asset collection *protected*, where any edits to assets must go through a workflow
