Modify > Clone property shapes from

This feature is available from the :ref:`ModifyMenu` within Ontology asset collections,
when the selected asset is either a class or a node shape.
It opens a dialog where you can first select another node shape/class and then individual properties
from that node shape or class.
The operation will then clone these selected property declarations.

.. note::
   In the current implementation the cloned property shapes will be *blank nodes*, which you may want
   to convert to URI nodes later, using :ref:`Modify_ConvertToURI`.

.. warning::
   Cloning property shapes also clones the URIs that are used as path of these properties.
   This means that even if you change the display names of these properties, their values would
   still use the same predicate URI as the properties at the original class or node shape.
